Title: Leitura com lupa : a construção de uma imagem por meio do jornalismo institucional.

Abstract: This thesis consists of a scientific approach to the creation of an image in institutional journalism discourses. In this perspective, the investigation was focused on the intentions elaborated using this textual genre, with a study centered on its discursive production, which mixes text-news with text-propaganda. Less explicitly than in traditional media, institutional Journalism has the characteristic of not appearing to have a critical view of the content conveyed. In this way, discursive practices assume previously determined enunciative marks to try to seduce the public that a certain event has representativeness. The following research problem is proposed: in the light of Frame Semantics, how does the discursive-argumentative alignment occur for the consolidation and strengthening of a socially constructed image? The main goal of this study is to investigate how linguistic and cognitive elements are inserted in news texts related to extension practices and published in institutional portals on the Internet, for the discursive-argumentative processing for the construction of a certain image. The methodological procedure follows a qualitative approach, and the corpus of analysis was composed of texts extracted from online sites of four Community Institutions of Higher Education based in Rio Grande do Sul, two of which are religious confessional and two, secular. As a selection criterion, news that dealt specifically with actions related to practices extended to the community was chosen, from February to April 2021, when one text was extracted from each of the institutional portals. For data analysis, the base was centered on the studies of Charles Fillmore and on the Lexicographic platform FrameNet Brasil, with the support of AntConc software for observation of textual concordance. As a result, a discourse of institutional concern was found to demarcate a community/social character, presuming that, for the public, the adjective “community” is still not very clear. Observed that the discursive-argumentative processing for the construction of a certain image seeks not to confuse the character of community organization with that of a business entity. Only a look more thorough about of contextualization of enunciation allows detecting the true desired tone in the publication, whose objective it's at disclose the courses and benefits as a way to guarantee the sustainability, but in a veiled way amid the news, to avoid hat they are confused with an advertisement.
