The texts produced in digital environments are undeniably inherited in print. However, the traits they acquire, consistent with the new space and the new circumstances of written communication, create a hybrid, interactive and participative communicative forms. This article addresses the issue of the need to include, in the teaching of Portuguese, didactic proposals for new textual genres, called digital. In case we consider that all communication develops strongly through digital environments, it will be inevitable to recognize that the teaching of a language must prepare students for the production and understanding of recurrent text genres in the social context and develop competences related to communicational trends and transformations of the associations.
