Title: O feminino na educação em saúde : sentimentos e modos de agir de mães vivendo com HIV/AIDS na pandemia da COVID-19.
Authors: Reichert, Cláudia Fabiana
Abstract: Mothers living with HIV/AIDS are the central authors of the construction of this doctoral thesis in Education, in the various facets of the ways of being a mother and the feelings that emerged in the context of two pandemics: the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) in the 1980s and COVID-19 in 2020. The overall goal of the research was to understand the feelings and modes of action of mothers with HIV/AIDS in times of COVID-19, more than 10 years ago. The age range was between 29 and 59 years. The recording of the dialogues took place throughout my professional trajectory at the Centro Municipal de Atendimento à Sorologia - CEMAS, in Santa Cruz do Sul/RS, between 1996 and 2022. It is in this space and time of research that, through speeches, dialogues, and listening, AIDS still manifests itself as a disease not socially understood, since the HIV infection still refers, even after 40 years of the first cases diagnosed in Brazil, to the death sentence, associated with fear, guilt, suffering, immobilization, and silence. The listening to recorded stories make up the database of this qualitative reflexive-living research, with phenomenology as its method. From the collection of data present in the clinical records, service entrance forms, and the field diary, two mandalas were created and constructed for the analysis and discussion of the results: one drawn from the generating words that brought up the feelings of the authors; and the other, that reflected the modes of action, based on the feelings generated. One can notice, in the mandalas, the deep need to search for the echo, to go back inside, to the depths, so that what is not visible and that holds so many hidden feelings can be expressed without shame or fear, so that they can fly and express the contained feminine. The authors' narratives corroborate that it is through dialogue and sensitive listening that the ethical-professional-academic commitment is rescued, juxtaposed in the areas of education and health. This study states that a new reality needs to be adjusted, being relevant and urgent the rescue of the balance of the feminine and the masculine in society, as well as the importance of a welcoming, listening and specialized care service for HIV/AIDS, which enables a woman to be able to perceive and value her self, discovering the creative and potentially transforming presence of her emotions.
