The present work presents a course developed in the virtual environment, aimed at undergraduate students of the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ / Brazil). The course was inspired by the experience resulting from a extension course, whose objectives were to discuss the teaching of Portuguese as a second language (L2) for deaf students and also to propose materials in the area. To this end, ten workshops were organized to discuss about deaf community, their language and culture. In this context, the article is organized in parts: initially we will make a brief contextualization of the project; then we will describe the course in the Moodle platform, its target audience, objectives and its methodology; and, finally, we will present the results and conclusions about the course.
