Breve resumo:
Title: Espaço e educação : arquiteturas modernistas e brutalistas do Brasil e a produção de sujeitos.
Authors: Santos, Bruno Cristiano dos
Abstract: The present dissertation is the product approximation of the areas of Architecture and Education through the concepts of social spatiality, landscape and biopolitics, tensioning discourses of production subjects in the course of the 20th century through the modernist and brutalist movements in architecture arising from political transformations and resulting in bio/power relations. Through this research development bias, this production is based on the investigation of how space educates and effectively produces subjects through the movements of modernism and brutalism in Brazil, through the development of architecture that modifies the landscape, means of coexistence and perceptions. spaces in the area of geography. In this way, it is important initially to base the key concepts of spatiality, or social space, also called Geospace, so that it is possible to understand these transformations during the last century. In this way, create a methodological path developed in this
production that begins with the foundation of the main concepts of social space and landscape brought by authors such as Milton Santos and stressing Michel Foucault's biopolitics into the functioning of cities, making possible an urban analysis in macro scale in examples such as the conception of the city of Brasília and its development in the context of the ideals of modernist architects such as Lucio Costa and Oscar Niemeyer in a certain frame time. Thus, a micro-scale verification of some of the key works of architecture in Brazil and their influences on collectivity and bio/disciplinary architecture becomes feasible, most commonly evidenced in works by Affonso Reidy, giving the first trace of brutalism as an unfolding of modernism in Brazil. The social space educates and produces subjects through the landscape, the design influence of architects inserted at a given moment through conceptual and design decisions, where the insertion of elements and the breaking of
hierarchies, the modernism breaks with the slope of mediations arising from a Brazil Empire and becomes effective and produces a society of coexistence with a focus on public identity.
